Carlos Reyes bridges traditional musical genres and mesmerizes audiences with unique fusions of Blues, Rock, Jazz, Latin, and Classical styles. Carlos Reyes features Tony Lindsay, beloved by audiences around the world. The lineup for the show at Yoshi’s also includes the fantastic keyboardist-vocalist Janice Maxie-Reid and Tal Morris on guitar.

Carlos Reyes has performed for popes and presidents with his mix of popular music. He was a child protege. At age ten, he debuted on harp with the Oakland Symphony and debuted on violin with the Oakland Youth Symphony at age fourteen.s

In addition to his profound mastery of harp and violin, Carlos also plays guitar, bass, mandolin, and keyboards. He is a well-respected producer, composer, and engineer and has been at the forefront of introducing the Electric Harp. He has consistently broken technical and musical boundaries and pioneered techniques that have expanded musical possibilities for musicians and audiences. Standing ovations are the norm, not the exception — when Carlos and his aptly named band “The Electrick Symphony” performs.

Our San Francisco Vibe is “something beautiful”

In 1980, Lindsay arrived in the San Francisco Bay Area from Kingston, New York, and continues to perform with the first band he formed Spangalang, who have opened for Curtis Mayfield, Tower of Power, Gerald Albright, Jr. Walker and the Average White Band.  He was one of four singers who traveled with “Dancing with the Stars,” the road tour version of the popular TV Dance show, which began in 2005. Lindsay joined Dancing with the Stars on three of the first four seasons as well as touring with Santana. Other bands that Tony helped form and still performs with are The Soul Soldiers, Black Magic, and the Ray Charles Project.

In 2015 Tony started to fully commit on his solo career. His 5th and current solo CD “Something Beautiful” is starting to fully express his sound and vibe. 
Previous solo efforts are” Different Moods” in 1995, “The Message is Love” in 1997, “Tony Lindsay” in 2005, and “Memoirs” in 2014.

He worked with Tevin Campbell, Nikita Germain, Johnny Gill, Howard Hewitt, Mica Paris, Shanice, Diatra Hicks, Jay Spencer and Diana Ross; Aretha Franklin, O’Jays, Teddy Pendegrass, Al Jarreau, Regina Bell, Lou Rawls, Spike Lee, Elliot Lewis, Steve Winwood, Curtis Mayfield, Stevie Wonder, Steve Winwood,  Chaka Khan, James Taylor, The Williams Brothers, George Michael, Patti Austin & James Ingram under the direction of Quincy Jones and 18-piece orchestra, Jerry Hey for the Dick Clark Productions and the Lexus Corporation; and a large quantity of jingles for many of popular brands. No wonder that you have the feeling you heard him before even if you just meet Tony Lindsay as a solo artist with: Different Moods (1995), The Message is Love (1997) and his current self-titled project Tony Lindsay (2005).
