4-wheel Friday

4-wheel Friday

Destination Kitzbühl, Austria - four-wheels are wonderful in this beautiful part of the world. Kitzbuehl is famous for skiing and for wonderful Summer holidays. With your 4-wheel car you can visit the hide aways in the Austrian Alps, for instance you can visit Leonhard Schroll, at the Almkäserei,( Kurzer Grund 23 6361 Kelchsau Tel. +43 664 3218227) where you can watch how cheese has been made. Delicious! we also recommend the Alpenhaus am Kitzbüheler Horn. It is at the elevation of 1670 m , and a popular spot from where you can go for some of the most beautiful hikes. Take your 4-wheel up the Panorama Strasse.which starts 2 km north of the center in Kitzbühels. Once you reach the Alpenhaus you can enjoy the magnificient views of the Kitzbüheler Alpen, the Großglockner (3797 m), the Hohen Tauern with the Großvenediger (3674 m), and the famous Zillertaler Alpen and many other fascinating mountains.

Celebrity Saturday

Celebrity Saturday

When thinking about celebrities and their passion for cars the first person that comes to mind is Jay Leno. Finally he has decided NBC talked him into sharing his passion with us and together they started a website: http://www.jaylenosgarage.com His cars are so beautiful it is the stuff that dreams are made of.

Talking about dreams. Only 9 more days for the discount period to register for the La Carrera Panamerica Race. After April it will go up by $500 to $6,000. Mr. Leon announced that the race will begin in Tuxtla Gutierrez on October 24, 2008 and end in Nuevo Laredo on October 30. The tentative route calls for overnight stops in Oaxaca, Puebla, Queretaro, San Luis de Potosi, Aguascalientes, Zacatecas, and Nuevo Laredo. San Luis de Potosi (SLP) is the new stop on the route. SLP is a colonial city on the old silver road from Zacatecas to Mexico City. The Coyote Convoy passes this city on the drive down to San Miguel de Allende. This change in the route means the race will not run, for the first time in over a decade, the mountain road called "Mil Cumbres" (one thousand peaks) or spend the night in Morelia this year.

Los Tres Viejos Locos
Los tres viejos locos from the UK - fun was had by all.

La Carrera Panamericana is a hard driving 2,200 mile seven-day rally, taking drivers up through the center of Mexico to Nuevo Laredo on the Texas border. The race covers some of the most spectacular country and switchback roads on earth. Race cars have been clocked at 190+ mph – all shepparded by a wonderful contingent of Federale police that protect the drivers and the public from each other during the event. The cars are pre-1955 sports and saloon cars with wickedly fast engines and six pot disc brakes that could stop a 747 on an aircraft carrier. “Historic” cars (1995-1965) also participate. This is one of the most fun races in which you are sure to make a lot of friends from all around the world. Check this who is http://lacarrerapanamericana.com.mx/participantes.asp just look at those mischievous faces and those cars are gorgeous. So don't forget best sign up this next week and save $500.
