Edie Okamoto, CEO and President is an international marketing and media professional with more than 30 years experience working with technology, consumer-oriented companies and media companies. Ms. Okamoto has held roles in business development, marketing, advertising and media relations experience, both in client and agency roles. She is fluent in four languages, including English, German, French and Spanish. Ms. Okamoto has hands-on experience in 23 countries, including Europe, the Americas and Asia. Ms. Okamoto oversees strategic planning, business development and customer services. Edie Okamoto started her professional career in 1979 in the Advertising Agency World where she worked for WCC/Saatchi & Saatchi. There she learned the media trade on accounts such as Hewlett-Packard, GTE Lenkurt, GTE Sylvania, American Microsystems, and Canadian Pacific Airlines, Port of Oakland . Late 1979 she got recruited by a Retail Agency where she worked on Holiday Inn, C&W Foods, Macy's, JC Penney, and Gemco/Memco, where she was promoted to Media Director responsible for planning and buying TV and Radio time. In April 1980 she started as Media Director for DDB San Francisco where she gained some recognition for formulating the international media launch strategy for Microsoft's, MS-DOS, Programming Languages and their first applications software suite - Multiplan. She also worked all accounts, including GTE Microcircuits, Volkswagen, St. Francis Hotel . The media billing under her guidance grew by 800% in less than two years. Late 1982 she worked at Lutat, Battey on the Pre-IPO campaigns for Altos Computers, Seagate Technology, and Wyse Technologies. Right from the start and due to her language skills and multi-cultural understanding she found herself responsible for taking companies' image campaigns internationally. In March of 1983 she founded her own consulting firm International Marketing and Media (IMM) to be able to pursue her career and to be able to spend time raising her children. While raising her children she chose to work part-time on interesting projects, which included over 50 multi-national company-launches in the technology and the consumer sector. Clients included AT&T International, HP, Digital Research, Hyundai, Alcatel and Logo Paris US Entries, Body Smart Systems, and over 200 other firms. She often was recruited by and served media companies such as IDG, where her idea eventually caused the formation of Computer 2000, wrote the concept of PC Week for Markt & Technik, who sold it to Ziff-Davis. She consulted with Hayden Publishing, assisted with the launch of the German and French Sun Magazines. She also helped launch five advertising agencies whose billing grew up to $86,000,000, always in less than two years. She has hands-on experience in over 21 countries and has experience in training and managing teams of up to 860 employees. Technical Services Kevin Lynch, Technical Director has a varied background in the video production industry as well as the website development and network and computer maintenance. He owned and managed Game Depot and thirteen other websites, predominantly in the video gaming industry. His business experience ranges from business management, creative conception, online website development and technical management of educational and entertainment projects. Prior to owning and operating 14 websites, he designed and built internal networks for internet/intranet networks. Maintained all computers and network administration, plus set up tracking systems of finances and employment records. He gained experience by providing technical management support to Intelenet, Verado, SevenspaceNuclio, Blue Cross of California, and Build Rehabilitation Industries. His services included trouble shooting and assistance for all Microsoft OS's and Applications, including but not limited to MS Office 97, 2000, XP and Windows 98, 2000, ME and XP, plus NT, 2000 and 2003 Server. He handled remote administration of network, servers, workstations (Compaq and Dell) and websites. Assessed all technical equipment needs, services, repairs, purchases and construction. Supplied remote support for customers via Remote Connectivity (Telnet, SSH, PCAnywhere, VNC, Remote Access, Terminal Services, VPN, Dialup, and Routed.) Responded to program alert messages. Resolved all system issues from hardware to software utilizing the Remedy tracking system. Kevin was the Lead Network Operations Center for the Managed Services devision suppling top-level technical support (Windows and Unix) for all new and existing Data Center customers. Kevin is experienced in network management and troubleshooting of DS3, T1, ISDN, DSL and dialup. Designed and Implemented proper procedures for troubleshooting, resolving and reporting of all network or connectivity problems utilizing Remedy Ticketing system. Kevin also co-founded GUITAR SCHOOL.NET, designed and programmed it's first website. Kevin is the primary Video capture technician and sound editor utilizing direct to PC recording for all video. He also built and administered the first version of the GUITAR SCHOOL.NET website. He is accustomed to handling customer service issues on a daily basis, along with assisting supervision of customer service employees. As an auditor for Blue Cross of California he monitored a large staff for accuracy and project completion. At Build Rehabilitation Industries he also mentored and trained new employees for numerous job positions. He is certified in A+, MCP, MCSA and MCSE, and is one of the world's top interactive TV graphical interface programmers. Kevin Lynch is back in school to finish his Masters Degree in Informatics. Rick Okie, Chief Creative Officer - Emeritus has over 20 years experience in developing award- winning television shows, documentaries and online programs. Rick heads up all Programming and Production. Rick is a well known Emmy nominated writer, producer, director. Rick also served as Director of Current Programs at NBC as well as executive producer for long-running series on Fox, Tribune and USA Networks, including Major Dad, Quantum Leap, Renegade, Gene Roddenberry and Witchblade. Rick Okie has been a well-known writer, producer, director, and executive in the television industry for over 20 years. After graduating cum laude from Yale University , Rick worked in the Programming Departments at CBS and NBC, concluding this portion of his career as Director of Current Programs at NBC, supervising production of numerous primetime hits. Rick's work and relationships earned him a long-term contract to write and produce at Universal Studios, where he was nominated for an Emmy as Supervising Producer of QUANTUM LEAP for NBC. He also created, wrote, and Executive Produced the long-running CBS sitcom MAJOR DAD. Rick then shifted his attention to the emerging first-run syndication market, pioneering top-level production. He wrote and Executive Produced hits like GENE RODDENBERRY'S EARTH: FINAL CONFLICT (Tribune), RENEGADE (USA Network), and WITCHBLADE (Turner). Most recently he has achieved another lifelong ambition, writing and producing a world-spanning series of documentaries titled GOIN' BACK for Discovery Channel set to premiere in the fall of 2004. A fine musician, Rick is also a founding partner and producer of GUITAR SCHOOL.NET, the online instructional arm of Guitar Center , America 's largest retail music chain. In this capacity he has produced streaming video music lessons in all styles, taught by numerous rock and jazz stars for online distribution. Branscombe Richmond, Actor, director, entertainer, has logged over 300 hours of television and 100 motion pictures including Scorpion King, Batman Returns, Hard to Kill, Commando, License to Kill and Star Trek III to name a few. He is best known as Bobby Sixkiller, star of the motorcycle theme television series; Renegade the most watched syndicated TV show globally from1992 to 1997. In the early 1990 he was employed by Harley-Davidson to establish their presence at motorcycle events across the country. Since1998 he has been Vice President of Indian Motorcycle responsible for Public/Dealer/Rider Relations, Product Placement, Indian Affairs, Event Marketing and was a founder of Indian’s official riders association of 12,000 Indian Motorcycle owners. Branscombe was the Native American Entertainer of The Year, Mr. Showmanship of Las Vegas, The National Coalition of Motorcyclists Silver Spoke Recipient and Inducted into the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Sturgis South Dakota, National Motorcycle Hall of Fame Iowa. Alan Segal, Creative Director - Emeritus is an experienced creative director and communication strategist, art director/writer team, multimedia artist and photographer. For over 20 years -- with agencies from New York to New Zealand , and on his own -- Alan has been applying creative energy and vision, logic, and business problem-solving skills to the development of effective branding and marketing programs for clients in a wide range of industries. His career began at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York , art-directing video, print, catalogs, and the first interactive shopping tests in America . This experience led him to early database-driven direct marketing efforts for Nissan, AT&T, Sheraton, and others while at Chiat/Day (in both New York and Los Angeles ). Alan became the first creative group head for interactive media at Saatchi & Saatchi Los Angeles in 1995. There he designed, co-wrote, and creative-directed Toyota.com from its inception through 1999. Under Alan, Saatchi's interactive creative team grew from one to sixteen, collecting a few awards for out-of-the-box "new media" along the way (from Communication Arts, Graphis, and Advertising Age, among others). Most important, the work opened wide new channels of direct marketing for Toyota . Saatchi's senior management tapped Alan to seed interactive capabilities in their New Zealand offices in 1997; he helped build a department in Wellington , and personally contributed to a revised web strategy for Telecom New Zealand (the largest corporation in the country). After this tour of duty down under, Alan returned to L.A. and was promoted to Director of New Media Strategies. More recently, Alan was Senior Creative Director at USWeb/CKS, then Director of New Media at Pedersen Media Group (both San Francisco ). He supervised projects from large-scale ecommerce sites to banners and promotions for Time Warner, Kinko's, and JCPenney. In 2000, he produced a worldwide webcast of Sun's JavaOne conference (the largest developers conference in the world), as well as Qwest Communications' 2000 annual report (both online and in print). Alan studied photography and design at Penn State and at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia ; during breaks in his formal training, he acted as a commercial photographer and designer, as well as a staff photographer/counselor at youth camps in Pennsylvania . Then, in 1990, he met a computer named Mac at New York 's Parsons School of Design, and life began anew.
