Lloyd Gregory discusses Harmony, Jazz Music History, Arranging, Composing, Conducting with Professor Emeritus of Hayward City College. They are discussing many famous artists including Buddy Bolden, Bunk Johnson, Fletcher Henderson, and Joe King Oliver who invited Louis Armstrong to visit San Francisco. He was considered the King of New Orleans, Sachmo, Pops, and Hotlips got his foot in the door. Tune in to hear how the music developed from Vaudeville in the 20s to Swing in the 30s.
