"Pass the Mic" Episode 1

hosted by Tr33, produced by Eddie L. Lankford Jr.

Live performance promotional showcase "Pass the Mic Hip Hop Television" hosted by TR33. Big Tr33, the entertainer, introduces the hottest hip hop entertainers from the Bay Area. In this episode he introduces Cooley, who grew up in Hunter's point and Fillmore in San Francisco. Big TR33 can be at 510-978-2613. Tr33, the entertainer, chose Cooley, who is performing internationally, as one of the most promising rising stars in the Bay Area's Hip Hop genre.

Cooley is a remarkable young man who decided at a young age to live up to the positive expectations of his mother, father and grand parents, who encouraged him to believe in himself and to go out and make something of himself. And, Cooley did just that! After attending Clark Atlanta University to study radio/film/music production he pursued his career with great focus. He sings, performs and works very hard on his career. He received a recording contract from Korea and began producing and selling his CDs. He chose music over some of the other income streams that are available in the neighborhood he grew up in. He uses music to provide positive messages and now has started an additional career as a DJ. He took his earnings and now other produces very talented young artists such as Ray lavendar "Thugluv", who has a beautiful voice.

Cooley uses his poetry to sing about his life and the pressures young men find themselves under to join a world that is full of illegal drugs, guns and death. He encourages young men to be strong and to take up legitimate work and make something of themselves. Cooley doesn't just suggest it - he is a role model and has turned himself into a producer and promoter.

In his songs he acknowledges the hardship that life in the "hood" places on young people. However he uses his poetry to point a way out of the endless pattern of pain and suffering. He doesn't downplay the peer pressure, the pressure police places on these young men when they expect the worse - which unfortunately often turns out to be true. Cooley points out that when you get older you are a role model for younger boys and that this role should be taken into consideration when making life choices.

Cooley is a great example of someone who may be considered a "thriver". For thrivers, traumas in their lives seem to provide a mentally motivating mismatch between their currently operative life theory and life’s reality. This causes what psychologist Jean Piaget called “disequilibration,” or a dissonance between what our life theory predicts should happen and what actually does. For thrivers, this dissonance is a consciousness catalyst that causes them to rethink their current theories and beliefs about the world and their place in it. The conscious acts of creation that constitute thriving require an accommodating mind, one that is constantly changing and made wiser by the events that challenge it.

Cooley is an artist, musical producer and DJ that should be watched. He is talented and inspiring. He promotes hope and self responsibility. He suggests that his listeners should think before they act and not just blindly copy what they are presented with. His rapidly growing fan base loves him and we are delighted to introduce him on Eddycam-TV.

David Alston, Exclusive Magazine states, " Solid Label mates, A-One and macho Macho may be the Snoop Dogg to Cooley's Dr. Dre the way they lock into the groove without skipping a beat. Czechmate entertainment will set a new bar for the Bay Area and have a huge impact upon the music and video industry in the U.S. and abroad.
