We bring in make up artists and stylists and special effects experts to fit the productions requirements. We are in touch with many local and national stylists and their agencies. This allows us to bring in the person whose style close matches the productions' requirement and who have a lot of experience.

Make Up is an important part of any production and we break it into three categories:

  • Basic - designed to compensate for undesirable changes in appearance introduced by the television process.
  • Corrective - designed to enhance positive attributes and downplay flaws.
  • Character - which introduces major changes in appearance -- often also called special effects.

Although people might think that makeup is reserved for people "who just want to look better" on TV or in film, in actual fact, makeup may be required to just retain a subject's normal appearance. This is because the television and film processes to some degree can introduce and emphasize undesirable attributes to skin tones and features.. Digital cameras have skin enhancing setup options that can reduce, but generally not eliminate, the need for makeup.

In particular, they can appreciably smooth out wrinkles and conceal minor blemishes. However often using make up is preferred to retain the sharpness, color, and quality of the visual presentation. sharpness.

Our wardrobe assistants help to make, find and look after the clothing and costumes used in our productions. The assist with the wardrobe and make sure that continuity is covered. In some instances they also assist in creating styles for performers and work closely with fashion designers to match up musical performers with designers that wish to get the exposure for their fashion lines.

  • fitting and dressing the performers
  • helping to buy and hire costume items
  • looking after the costumes between takes or scenes
  • mending and altering costumes
  • packing and unpacking costumes and accessories
  • cleaning and ironing
  • helping to make pieces and put costumes together
  • making sure that all items are available when needed
  • keeping an accurate record of all items needed
  • storing costumes and returning rented and furnished items known as 'breaking down' costumes
