This seminar will focus on the development of a framework for espousing an ethic of care as a fundamental principle in educational practice.  Ethical caring is primarily focused on relationship building and thoughtful dialogue. You will discover the correlation between ethical caring and equitable education. You will also learn strategies for strengthening school-parent relations and building a positive school climate.

Dr. NNeka Harrison is the Co-Founder and CEO of Inward Journeys Consulting.  She is a dedicated wife, mother, educator, and motivator who understands the importance of building sustaninable parent, school, and community partnerships.  She is a former social service provider and family counselor.  Over the past 12 years, Dr. NNeka Harrison has consulted with school districts and community-based agencies on areas related to home-school partnerships, early childhood development, parental engagement, social-emotional development, and violence prevention.
